Job Description

Healthcare Assistant is to ensure the physical and environmental well-being of the clients in the community.

 

Care services for activities of daily living

  1. To provide personal hygiene services
  2. To provide dressing and personal grooming services
  3. To provide transfer/mobility (movement) support
  4. To provide assistance in oral feeding and drinking and with naso-gastric tube feeding
  5. To prepare meals and provide necessary support

 

Basic Nursing and Health Services

  1. To provide basic health assessment of care for clients
  2. To assess care needs, perform and assist in all activities of daily living
  3. To assess and provide emotional support to clients and their family

 

Basic Case Coordination Service

  1. To liaise and coordinate with social workers and other external service providers 

 

Escort Service

  1. To escort clients to polyclinic, GP clinic, TCM and restructured hospital and GoodLife!
  2. To ensure the safety of the clients while escorting

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • NITEC

 

Experience

  • At least 1 years of programme planning experience, preferably in a not-for-profit environment
  • Prior experience in running programme would be advantageous
  • Fresh graduates may also apply

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • Communications: Good oral, written and inter-personal communications skills in dealing with individuals and groups at all levels
  • Functional: Good working knowledge of social service practices
  • Community: Experience in engaging volunteers
  • Basic Planning: The ability to design initiatives to achieve expected objectives with the resources allocated
