Job Description

The Executive, Programme primarily implements initiatives and development plans that are congruent with the organisation’s goals and the needs of the community. With guidance from the Manager, Programme, he /she will participate in designing the above mentioned initiatives and development plans.

 

Programme Implementation

  1. To establish links and partnerships with relevant agencies to determine programme requirements and relevance
  2. To identify upcoming trends affecting programme’s success
  3. To follow best practices and new methodologies aimed at enhancing programme impact
  4. To follow service framework for programme work plans, resource requirement and budgeting
  5. To follow procedures for programmes pertaining to community service
  6. To plan and collaborate with other organisations to achieve programme’s goals
  7. To support Manager, Programme in reviewing the alignment of programme to centre objectives
  8. To support Manager, Programme in reviewing effectiveness of programmes

 

Community Work

  1. To organise and implement all kinds of community outreach event
  2. To deliver social work programmes to meet the targeted needs
  3. To gather relevant information from different sources
  4. To link up of community resources
  5. To support the team in rendering services to the community, e.g. home visit, medical escort and others

 

Volunteer Management

  1. To communicate appropriate programme objectives to volunteers as required
  2. To provide guidance to volunteers on executing effective programmes
  3. To develop growing team of volunteers to support various programmes
  4. To network and build relationships with potential partners that have many volunteers
  5. To identify and retain committed volunteers

 

Compliance

  1. To consolidate status of KPIs to Manager, Programme and Centre Director periodically
  2. To ensure expenditure is within the budget
  3. To ensure KPIs will be met within the timeline as per funding agencies’ requirement
  4. To support Manager, Programme in preparing annual service reports by preparing the relevant and required information

 

Ad-hoc Duties

  1. To provide any other support as assigned/required

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Recognized Degree

 

Experience

  • At least 1 years of programme planning experience, preferably in a not-for-profit environment
  • Prior experience as a social worker or counsellor would be advantageous
  • Fresh graduates may also apply

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • People Management: Experience of managing and developing staff
  • Communications: Excellent oral, written and inter-personal communications skills in dealing with individuals and groups at all levels
  • Functional: Excellent working knowledge of social service practices
  • Community: Experience in attracting, building capabilities and retaining volunteers
  • Basic Planning: The ability to design initiatives to achieve expected objectives with the resources allocated
  • Basic Legal: Basic knowledge of various legal and statutory requirements related to social service
  • Analytical Ability, Problem Solving & Strategic Thinking: The ability to assimilate and analyse information quickly and accurately and to think strategically, formulate decisions and make recommendations for the long-term
