Job Description

Manager, Programme champions and creates initiatives that drive programme objectives which are congruent with the organisation’s goals. He/she will lead a team to strategize development plans that serve the community needs.

 

Programme Delivery

 

Programme Development

  • To establish and develop links and partnerships with relevant agencies to determine programme requirements and relevance
  • To lead identification of upcoming trends affecting programme’s success
  • To introduce best practices and new methodologies aimed at enhancing programme impact
  • To provide service framework for programme work plans, resource requirement and budgeting
  • To formulate procedures for programmes pertaining to community service
  • To plan and collaborate with other organisations to achieve programme’s goals
  • To partner with Centre Director to review the alignment of programme to centre objectives
  • To review effectiveness of programmes with the team and develop recommendations
  • To manage the meeting of program goals

 

Volunteer Management

  • To communicate appropriate programme objectives to volunteers as required
  • To work with programme team to develop growing team of volunteers to support various programmes
  • To work together with direct reports to identify and retain committed volunteers

 

Personnel Management

  • To communicate programme objectives to direct reports
  • To manage direct reports appropriately
  • To ensure direct reports run programmes that are in accordance with objectives.
  • To provide supervision and guidance to ensure direct reports execute effective programmes
  • To manage programme team and be responsible for employee development, performance evaluation and welfare

 

Management of Operations

 

Compliance

  • To report status of KPIs to Centre Director periodically
  • To ensure efficient and accountable expenditure within the budget
  • To ensure KPIs will be met within the timeline as per funding agencies’ requirement
  • To prepare and submit annual service reports to Centre Director / Senior Director

 

Ad-hoc Duties

  • To provide any other support as assigned/required

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Recognized Diploma or Recognized Degree

 

Experience

  • Recognized Diploma – 5 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in a not-for-profit environment
  • Recognized Degree – 3 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in a not-for-profit environment
  • Prior experience as a social worker or counsellor would be advantageous

 

Knowledge and Skills

  • People Management: Experience of managing and developing staff
  • Communications: Excellent oral, written and inter-personal communications skills in dealing with individuals and groups at all levels
  • Functional: Excellent working knowledge of social service practices
  • Legal: In-depth knowledge of various legal and statutory requirements related to social service
  • Industry: Basic knowledge of various policies, assistance schemes, and procedures related to the delivery of services and programs
  • Community: Experience in attracting, building capabilities and retaining volunteers
